NORTH ADAMS - Starting Kindergarten! The day can be both exciting and stressful for children and their parents. To help ease the way, the Children’s Department at the North Adams Public Library is once again offering an “I’m Going to Kindergarten” program. This special celebration will include stories about getting ready for school, craft activities, and refreshments.

Each child attending will receive a free book about starting school compliments of the Book Bonanza program. Join other kindergarten children wearing their bight yellow t-shirts at the library on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. to share in this exciting time of discovery.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children in at any time to meet the children’s librarians, explore in the playroom, get a library card, and pick out books from the “First Day of School” collection.
