Williams College volleyball team dropped a non conference match - September 17, 2008
SCHENECTADY, NY - The Williams College volleyball team (4-5) dropped a non conference match to Union Tuesday night. The Ephs only won one set en route to the 3-1 (25-22, 18-25, 34-32, 25-20) defeat.
Despite the loss, the Ephs were led by junior Melissa Pun who posted 11 kills, 13 digs, and 4 blocks. Sophomore Emily Avis tallied a season high 48 assists to go along with 8 digs, while fellow sophomore Nicole Ballon-Landa smashed 15 kills.
Rounding out the numbers for the Ephs were juniors Chelsea Kubal (23 digs) and Whitney Hitchcock (6 blocks).
The Ephs now must regroup as they enter conference play during the upcoming NESCAC weekend hosted by Hamilton. The Ephs play Conn. College Friday night at 8PM, and then play Trinity and Wesleyan on Saturday. |
