PITTSFIELD - Berkshire Health Systems' Diabetes Education program will present a free public program on diabetes management from the patient perspective on Tuesday, October 7th. "Taking Control" will be held at Berkshire Medical Center at 7:00 pm in Private Dining Room A, located near the BMC Café on the ground floor.
The speaker for the program is Ruth Charne, a member of the A1C Champions Program, a patient-led approach to diabetes education. She will discuss achieving good glucose control, learning about effective self-management, developing a balanced and healthy lifestyle, planning and prioritizing diabetes management, overcoming fears surrounding diabetes and finding resources for diabetes support.
