Bishop Appointed Loan Officer For Mountainone Banks

North Adams – Gwenn Bishop has been appointed to the position of Retail Lending Officer for Hoosac Bank and Williamstown Savings Bank, according to an announcement by Maureen Baran, Senior Vice President for Business and Retail Lending. Hoosac Bank and Williamstown Savings Bank are MountainOne Financial Partners, which also includes South Coastal Bank; Coakley, Pierpan, Dolan & Collins; and True North.

According to Baran, “We’re pleased to have Gwenn join our team. She has been assisting loan customers in Berkshire County for over ten years, and really understands the local real estate market and the needs of homebuyers.”

In her new position, Bishop will be responsible for assisting customers through the entire home-buying process, assisting with community education related to home-buying and general credit topics, and enhancing relationships with local realtors.

Prior to joining MountainOne, Bishop served as Retail Lending Underwriter at Berkshire Bank and as a Loan Officer at Greylock Credit Union. She has completed banking and lending coursework through the Mortgage Bankers Association, as well as special training courses offered by previous employers. Bishop resides in Adams with her husband, Corey, and has two children.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
