David Martin speaks at Chapters Bookstore11:20AM / Monday, September 29, 2008
Pittsfield - Chapters Bookstore, located at 78 North St, is pleased to welcome author David Martin to the event space on October 13 at 6PM. David is the author of The Wisdom of Friends, a book about divorce for teenagers.
David S. Martin has a Bachelor’s in Physics, a Master’s in Secondary Education, and is certified as a School District Administrator. He also holds a Master’s license in the U.S. Merchant Marine. He taught physics for 37 years, the first 17 of which also found him moonlighting as a professional musician.
He has been a Fulbright Exchange teacher in England, and has sailed between Maine and Florida. Martin has co-authored books for students including a number of introductory computer programming books with accompanying teachers’ manuals. He has had articles published in professional journals, and Sailing magazine. An advocate of co-parenting after divorce, he now has four grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
