The Printing Industries of New England (PINE) has announced that ArrowPress of Pittsfield, Massachusetts is an award winner in the association’s New England 2008 Awards of Excellence Competition. The announcement was made November 6th during PINE’s 2008 Industry Awards Gala, held at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, MA, with hundreds of industry professionals in attendance. For PINE’s Awards of Excellence Competition, it attracted 325 entries from 47 printing and imaging companies in New England.
ArrowPress, who won three awards in 2007, including the Pinnacle Award, won an Award of Recognition and an Award of Merit. Each entry was judged anonymously on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included: registration, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery.
