A Valentine Making Workshop sponsored by the Children’s Department of the North Adams Public Library will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 6:00 PM. The library has set aside an evening for children in grades 1 through 6 to come and fashion a totally unique Valentine for a family member, friend, or special someone.
Models of several interactive cards and projects will be displayed to help inspire ideas and tons of fun and colorful supplies such as stickers, buttons, lace doilies, beads, foam and felt hearts, letters, glitter, and pom-pom critters will be provided. Not to mention markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, tape, staplers, and glue.
Come and try your hand at a Keepsake Box, a Purse Puzzle, an Origami Folding Box, a Valentine Scroll, a Valentine Hug, a Woven Heart, a secret message hidden in a cage, or even a traditional Valentine card. Who knew being creative could be such fun. |
