ADAMS, Mass. – Michael Herman has joined South Adams Savings Bank as the Adams branch officer, according to an announcement made by Charles O’Brien, bank president and CEO. “We are pleased that Michael has joined the bank,” stated O’Brien. “With more than nine years of banking experience, he will be an asset to our customers and employees alike. We welcome him and look forward to his ideas and leadership skills, as we continue to provide new products and services to the communities we serve.”
In his new role, Herman will be responsible for building and retaining relationships with retail and commercial customers, ensuring delivery of high quality customer service, new business development and management of staff. Herman comes most recently from Citizens Bank where he worked for seven years as an assistant branch manager in both Pittsfield and Braintree, MA. He also worked for Boston Financial Data Services, Inc. for two years prior to joining Citizens.
Herman received his degree from Bridgewater State College where he majored in communications. Herman and his wife reside in Pittsfield.
