WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College Department of Music will present a Senior Recital featuring Mimi Lou '09, cello on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall. This free event is open to the public.
Lou will be playing Korngold’s Concerto in C Major; Bach’s Suite No. 5 in C Minor; and Debussy’s Sonata. She will be accompanied by Eric Kang '09 and Scott Smedinghoff '09 on the piano.
Mimi Lou is a senior at Williams College, where she is majoring in chemistry and music. She is a regular member of the Berkshire Symphony, Student Symphony, Symphonic Winds, and occasional participant in Percussion Ensemble and Choir. In the spring of 2007 she performed the first movement of Shostakovich's Concerto No. 1 with the Berkshire Symphony. She currently studies with Nathaniel Parke and previous teachers include Ingrid Porter and Nan Blaufuss. Next year she will be pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry.
