Lenox Library Launches Annual Book Sale Donation Drive
02:53PM / Tuesday, February 24, 2009
LENOX, Mass. - The Lenox Library is now conducting a book collection drive for its upcoming annual book sale in August, and is accepting all books in good condition, for adults and children, hard cover or paperback, plus CD’s and DVD’s. Encyclopedias, textbooks, and magazines are not accepted.
To donate books or other materials to the Lenox Library for this major fundraising event, please call Maureen Hammel at (413) 637-0704 or email ibrowner@roadrunner.com for information about where to bring them. Pick-ups can also be arranged. Please do not bring book donations to the Library.
All of the proceeds from the book sale benefit the Lenox Library’s many services and programs offered to the public year-round free of charge. Last year’s book sale, staffed entirely by volunteers, raised over $21,000.
This year’s book sale will take place on August 28-30 at the Lenox Library, 18 Main Street, and will feature over 20,000 books at bargain prices in all categories.
