ADAMS, Mass. - The Adams Lions Club is proud to present The Brunell String Quartet in concert on Sunday, April 5, at 2 pm in the C.T. Plunkett School Auditorium.

Although the quartet is newly formed, its members are no strangers to the chamber music world. They have performed across Canada, the United States and Europe in some of the most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Seiji Ozawa Hall, the Leipziger Gewandhaus, the Wiener Saal and the Mozarteum in Austria.

The members of the Brunell Quartet met in the summer of 2007 at the Tanglewood Music Center. The quartet debuted performing the Barber String Quartet in Seiji Ozawa Hall. While they maintain rigorous individual schedules, they are deeply committed as a quartet to developing music as a form of communication and a viable language to increase its accessibility to all audiences. This season, they are scheduled to make their debut as a quartet at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Members of the quartet will engage in dialogue with the audience during the Adams performance.

Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults; $5 for seniors and teens 14 to 18. Admission is free for children 13 and under. Tickets may be purchased at Smith Brothers-McAndrews Insurance Agency, Inc., 45 Park St., or at the door.

For more information, call Art or Jan McConnell at (413) 743-5379.
