BMC To Offer Weekend Childbirth Series For Expectant Parents

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Berkshire Medical Center's Family Health Education program has begun offering a weekend childbirth series for expectant parents. Offered four times a year, the program will provide comprehensive information for the expectant parent on what to expect during the labor and delivery process, breathing and relaxation techniques, coping techniques, pain management options and a tour of the Mother Baby Unit at BMC. The program will be taught by Karen Charbonneau, RN, MS, Certified Childbirth Educator.
The first weekend childbirth series will be held on Saturdays, May 9th and 16th, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Berkshire Medical Center. The May program is for expectant parents with May and June due dates.
Pre-registration is required by calling 413-447-2400. The cost for the program is $100 per couple. Many insurance companies will reimburse all or part of the program fee.
