This annual fundraising event, co-chaired by Yuki Cohen and Sadie Berkel, is open to anyone 21 years of age or older. The evening will feature a wide sample of unique beers from such breweries as Dogfish Head Craft Brewery of Delaware, Laguenitas Brewing Company from California, and Stoudt’s Brewing Company located in Adamstown, PA, as well as our own Berkshire beers from Pittsfield Brew Works and Berkshire Brewing. Food will be donated by many local restaurants including Arizona Pizza, Moe’s Tavern, Olde Forge Restaurant, Olde Heritage Tavern, Pittsfield Brew Works, and the Red Lion Inn.
A raffle will be held with merchandise and gift certificates donated by local businesses, and other beer-related paraphernalia. A new specially designed Limited Edition 2009 Lenox Library Beer Glass will be on sale. Live music will be provided by guitarist Zachary Cohen, and there will be fun giveaways throughout the evening.
Tickets are $30, $50, and $100. Purchasers of $50 and $100 tickets will receive a goodie bag complete with a commemorative Limited Edition 2009 Lenox Library Beer Glass. All proceeds of the event will support the Library’s non-profit educational services and activities. An independently owned and operated library in its 152nd year of continuous operation, the Lenox Library was recently ranked among “America’s Star Libraries” by Library Journal in its first ever national awards for outstanding libraries. In its budget category, the Lenox Library was ranked second nationwide for program attendance.
Approximately half of the Library’s annual operating budget is funded by donations raised from individuals and corporations, in addition to an annual appropriation by the Town of Lenox. The Library’s building at 18 Main Street in Lenox is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. |
