STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Red Lion Inn gift shop is looking for local crafters.
The shop will be changing its focus from a traditional gift store featuring products from around the country and the world, to more regional offerings, said shop manager Jayne Church.
"We live in an especially creative part of the world," she said. "And we feel that we'd like to honor that talent and creativity by featuring it in our shop."
Church is asking local producers and artists to to send information about their products and, in a few weeks, to participate in a trade show at the inn. Church stressed that quality is important, as is professional packaging and price.
Items such as fine art and jewelry are of primary interest, but anything unique, interesting and one-of-a-kind will be considered, except clothing.
Most items will be purchased at wholesale prices, but consignment may be possible for pricier pieces. For further information contact Church at 413-298-1632 or jchurch@redlioninn.com.
