PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Legacy Banks will host will host a free money management workshop on May 6, 2009 at The Immigrant Center at the First Baptist Church, 88 South Street in Pittsfield. Two identical sessions taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. The program, titled “Managing your money in tough economic times,” will be presented in both Spanish and English depending on need.
The workshop will focus on the difficult financial choices that must be made during the current challenging economic environment. The program will assist attendants with prioritizing spending and budgeting to address the potential of a reduction in income difficulty in accessing credit. Additionally a brief introduction to the Economic Stabilization Act will be included. Topics will include spending less, saving more, safeguarding your money, protecting against fraud, borrowing wisely and what to do when you get behind.
