Emergency Physicians Join North Adams Regional Hospital11:19AM / Tuesday, April 28, 2009
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Stuart Damon, DO, and William Duke, MD, have joined the Emergency Department at North Adams Regional Hospital and the NARH Medical Staff.
Dr. Damon, a board-certified family practice physician, earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He served his internship and residency in family medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine. He most recently practiced emergency medicine at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine. Dr. Damon is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
Dr. Duke has worked in emergency medicine settings since 1976. He earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery at University of New Mexico Medical School (Bernalillo County Medical Center). Dr. Duke, who is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, has practiced in Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho, and most recently in Sedro Woolley, Wash. He and his wife Sheila have two adult children. Dr. Duke’s interests include yachting, bicycling, and skiing.
“We’re very pleased that Drs. Duke and Damon have joined our team,” said Paul Donovan, DO, medical director of the NARH Emergency Department. “They are both experienced emergency physicians and well-versed in the newest digital and electronic health technologies used in medicine today.”
The NARH Emergency Department treats about 20,000 patients each year. Children make up about one-third of the patients. NARH offers digital x-ray technology in the Emergency Department to provide greater convenience for patients and improved image quality. On the Web: www.nbhealth.org. |
