PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Berkshire Area Health Education Center, Inc. (AHEC) was awarded certification as a SOMWBA (State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance) organization on April 30, 2009.
Berkshire AHEC qualified as a woman non-profit organization (W/NPO). “This certification will provide our organization a competitive edge when applying for government contracts” Anna Foss, President of the Board of Directors announced, “and is an important asset to supporting our work while advancing minority-owned businesses in the Commonwealth.” This is a two year certification.
