Stroke Support Group to meet
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Northern Berkshire Healthcare has announced the date of the next Stroke Support Group as Thursday, September 10th, 2009. The group will meet in the Northern Berkshire VNA/Hospice Community Room from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The group is open to those who are recovering from a stroke, family members and caregivers of stroke patients.The September 10th meeting will feature Dr. Jeffrey Doshier and Debra Lucey from the Greylock Pavilion at North Adams Regional Hospital. Depression and anxiety after a stroke and during recovery will be the topic. Survivors, caregivers and family members will be able to network and also talk about issues they feel are the most important to them. A welcome back barbeque will be served.
