Summer 2009 campers

 

This free event is open to children and adults of all ages. Come and celebrate the end of a creative summer by looking at the camper art show, participating in fun art projects (designed to generate spontaneous parades by faculty artist, Kim Waterman) and enjoying free ice cream courtesy of SoCo Creamery! 

On view in the school’s Stairwell Gallery the Camper Art Show will include paintings, ceramics, textile art, sculpture, murals and mixed media projects that were created by young artists aged 5-14.

This day ONLY the Art School will be offering a 10% discount on Fall classes, for both children and adults, that begin in/after September and have six or more sessions.

Join us in IS183s studios on Friday, October 9th at 7PM for a scrumptious dinner to benefit IS183's Ceramics Department.

 

The evening begins in the ceramics studio for wine and cheese and a brief talk with special guest, Ceramic Artist and co-founder of the Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, Chris Gustin. For more information on Chris, visit him online at www.gustinceramics.com.

 

At 8 we'll proceed upstairs for a sit-down dinner prepared by chef Daniel Mahoney with entertainment by internationally renowned composer and cellist Paul de Jong.
