Church Street Reconstruction in Lenox Set Through Fall

LENOX, Mass. — The schedule for continued $1.6 million reconstruction on Church Street has been released by the Lenox Chamber of Commerce to keep local businesses apprised of the work.

The repairs are part of a $7.5 million reconstruction of downtown roads in the town. Off-street work on the new Curtis Park will begin on Monday, Aug. 31; the travel lanes will remain open.

Frequent updates will be provided as the schedule is subject to change.

Excavation on the schedule means sidewalk removal plus the mid-block crossing on Lower Church during Weeks 8 and 9. The first three weeks will focus on the west side of Church Street. Intersection work at Housatonic and Church streets will be done during Weeks 4 through 7, with half of the intersection closed at a time.

MassDOT: Lenox Temporary Lane Closures on Route 7 Northbound

LENOX, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing temporary lane closures on Route 7 northbound in Lenox. 
 
The low speed lane will be closed between mile marker 26 to mile marker 27, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning Monday, April 22 and continuing Monday through Friday until Friday, May 17.  
 
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.? 
 
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.  
 
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.?
