Church Street Reconstruction in Lenox Set Through Fall
LENOX, Mass. — The schedule for continued $1.6 million reconstruction on Church Street has been released by the Lenox Chamber of Commerce to keep local businesses apprised of the work.The repairs are part of a $7.5 million reconstruction of downtown roads in the town. Off-street work on the new Curtis Park will begin on Monday, Aug. 31; the travel lanes will remain open.
Frequent updates will be provided as the schedule is subject to change.
Excavation on the schedule means sidewalk removal plus the mid-block crossing on Lower Church during Weeks 8 and 9. The first three weeks will focus on the west side of Church Street. Intersection work at Housatonic and Church streets will be done during Weeks 4 through 7, with half of the intersection closed at a time.
