Olver to Speak on Health-Care Reform at Coalition Meeting

12:14PM / Monday, October 05, 2009

Rep. John W. Olver
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — A health-care forum on Friday, Oct. 9, sponsored by the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition is expected to include U.S. Rep. John W. Olver, D-Amherst.

Part of the coalition's regular two-hour monthly community meeting, the health-care section of the meeting will begin at around 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church. The meeting begins at 10 with the regular round of introductions and updates by various organizations involved in the coalition.

Olver is expected to give an update about the progress of health-insurance reform in Washington. Also attending  will be state Rep. Daniel E. Bosley, D-North Adams, Northern Berkshire Healthcare President Richard Palmisano,  Dr. William Kober, a family practice physician with NBH, and Andrea Peters, a health-care consumer.

The goal of the forum is to gain a better understanding of the challenges the health-care system is facing and that forum participants will walk away with knowledge of how health-care reform may affect the Northern Berkshire region, according to coalition Executive Director Alan Bashevkin.

Those attending will have an opportunity to ask questions about health-insurance reform as time permits.

Attending organizations are reminded to bring fliers about their announcements; they may be placed on the table in the middle of the room for others to take.

Olver = Useless

Uh yeah, just actually saw him here on Sunday, making an appearance at the Fall Foliage Parade...but I bet you think the parade is just put on by a bunch of liberals anyway!

FINALLY, John Olver to Make Belated Appearance at an ObamaCare Meeting!
Well, Land Sakes and Lawdie Bee!
Look whose comin' round the mountain!
On Friday, October 9th, 2009 from 10 a.m. to Noon at the First Baptist Church in North Adams, MA, none other than the 1st Congressional District's own true blue Liberal Democrat Congressman John Olver is FINALLY going to poke his fuzzy grey head into Berkshire County to see what local yokels think about ObamaCare.
IT'S ABOUT TIME!
Note that there is NO notice of this event published so far in either The Berkshire Eagle or North Adams Transcript.
Just this announcement on iBerkshires.com!
Probably because Democrat Olver thinks he's gonna sneak into and out of the county before anyone really knows he's been here.
And the local media are going to be the enablers enabling him to do it.
After he comes and goes in a rush, there'll be a fleeting picture of him waving in the newspaper.
Can anyone remember the last time Mr. Olver actually appeared anywhere in the county?
Hopefully, there will be a healthy turnout of those wishing to question Mr. Olver about his views on ObamaCare, Carbon Tax and Trade, and God Knows Whatever Else the Democrats try to pass by October 9th.
