Colonial Announces Holiday Shoppe - "Shop Local, Support Local"03:22PM / Friday, November 06, 2009
PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Colonial Theatre is collaborating with local artisans, restaurants, performing arts venues and businesses to create a Holiday Gift Shoppe. The Shoppe will kickoff Saturday, November 7th and be open most days through December 19th.
David Fleming, Colonial Executive Director comments, “the lobby of The Colonial Theatre will be transformed into a festive place where people can conveniently shop for the holidays while supporting local artisans and vendors. The essence of ‘community’ is local people supporting their neighbors. The Colonial Theatre has been a vital center for entertainment and commerce in this community since 1903. The tradition continues!”
A call is out to artisans now with sign up information available at www.TheColonialTheatre.org.
At least one dedicated gift certificate booth will be set up to represent performing arts venues, spas, restaurants and more.
Food and drink will be available and will vary by day.
The Holiday Shoppe will kickoff Saturday, November 7th from noon-8pm in the Colonial Lobby. The following vendors will be on site: ALJ Designs, Atomsatwork, Bella Bags and Accessories, Bisque, Beads & Beyond, Mary Kay Cosmetics, PartyLite, Jewelry by Mary L with food by Mary's Specialty Foods.
