Barrington Stage Appoints New Director of Production

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, has appointed Jeff Roudabush as the company's new director of production.

"Jeff was the first person I thought of when we started this transition. His knowledge of BSC and the resources available in the Berkshires and his production experience made him the perfect fit for us. I’m looking forward to working with him for years to come," said Wilson, who was named managing director of in December, following three years as director of production.

A Pittsfield resident, Roudabush most recently worked at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival as operations and production manager for three seasons. He completed his master of fine arts degree in scenic design, lighting design and technical direction at the University of Missouri at Kansas City’s Department of Theatre. At UMKC, Roudabush designed scenery for the world premiere of Megan Mostyn-Brown’s "The Secret Lives of Losers" and Seamus Heaney’s "The Cure at Troy." He also designed lights for theatre, opera and dance, including Moliere’s "Tartuffe." In addition to his design work, he has extensive experience in technicalDdirection. Roudabush has worked at Richmond’s Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatres, University Theater at the University of Chicago and the American Dance Festival. He received his bachelor of arts degree in theater from the University of Richmond.

Pittsfield Seeking Volunteers for Flag Distribution

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The city of Pittsfield's Department of Veterans' Services is looking for volunteers to assist with placing flags and markers at Veterans' gravesites. 
 
The installation of flags will occur between May 6 to May 11, 2024.
 
Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable, appropriate apparel and shoes, walking will be required throughout the cemeteries to place these flags. Instructions, flags, and markers will be provided, as well as soft refreshments and snacks.
