Adams-Cheshire Sets School Opening 2016

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Adams-Cheshire Regional Schools will open for the school year on Wednesday, Aug. 31, with a full day of classes. The first Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be half-days only for kindergarten at C.T. Plunkett School.

C.T. Plunkett Elementary School:

Grades 1-5: 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.


Cheshire Elementary School

Grades 1-5: 8:40 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Preschool: Starts Tuesday, Sept. 8

Hoosac Valley High School and Middle School

Grades 6-12: 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

St. Stanislaus School

Start is at 8:45 and dismissal at 3:15.

Breakfast and lunch will be served in all schools opening day.

Prices are as follows:

      Breakfast – $1.25

      Lunch – $2.75 (High School & Middle School)

      Lunch – $2.50 (Cheshire Elementary)

      Adults – $3.75

      Milk – 40 cents a la carte

Breakfast and lunch are free this year at Plunkett School only. Students who qualify for free or reduced meals will see no change in their benefits. Kindergarten students are encouraged to bring a nutritional snack with them on a daily basis.

New or Transfer Students

Parents of new or transfer students are requested to register prior to school opening. Registration will take place in each elementary school office, at the guidance office and Hoosac Valley High School (Grades 6-12). Hoosac Valley High School to Stage 'Suessical'

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Hoosac Valley High School will showcase their rendition of "Suessical," a musical based on the tales of Dr. Seuss by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
 
The performances are scheduled for Friday, March 15 at 7 pm, and Saturday, March 16 at 2 pm and 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online via the provided link. Prices are $8 for students and $10 for adults.
 
Directed by Rebecca Koczela and Amanda Watroba, the production features around 50 students participating as actors, pit band musicians, and backstage and tech crews. Notably, this year's cast includes several middle school students who have joined the high school production, marking their first experience performing on stage.
