North Adams Walmart Roadwork Beginning In July

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The road to Walmart will take some reconstruction.

Wm. J. Keller Construction Corp. will begin road work on Curran Highway (Route 8) about a mile past the current Wal-Mart, in the Department of Transportation right-away, beginning Monday, July 9.

This will cause major traffic delays on weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The work is expected to take two to three months and the driving conditions during this time will be slow so plan accordingly and use extreme caution for the safety of drivers and workers.

This work will allow for ease of entering and exiting of the new Walmart Super Center, opening in April 2013.
