Oct. 10: The winners and solutions to the annual leaf hunt were released.
The No. 9 leaf was found, but not returned to the Office of Tourism. To claim the prize, whoever found it must return it to the office, located at 6 West Main St.

Sept. 30: The annual Foliage Festival leaf hunt committee has announced the second set of clues for the remaining leaves.
Persons finding a leaf must return it to the Office of Tourism and cultural development at 6 West Main St., North Adams, to claim the prize. One prize per household please. The names of the winners and the answers to the clues will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The annual Fall Foliage Festival has begun, and the popular leaf hunt is under way beginning Saturday, Sept. 22, and concluding on Oct. 6.
Brightly colored paper leaves are hidden throughout the area, and participants must solve the clues below in order to find the leaves. Those finding a leaf must return it to the Office of Tourism and Cultural Development at 6 West Main St. to claim their prize.
Prizes for the event are generously donated by area merchants. The committee has stated that the leaves are well hidden and suggests persons search thorougly to find them. One prize per household please. In the event of unsolved clues, a second set of clues will be announced.
As always, there is a phantom leaf hunt for homebound residents. Participants must mail a postcard with the answer to the clue and their name, address, phone number, to the Office of Tourism, 6 West Main St., North Adams MA 01247. Only mailed postcards will be eligible. In the event of a tie, the earliest postmark will determine the winner.
Answers to the clues and names of the winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event.
