Print Story | Email Story

CHESHIRE, Mass. — The Cheshire Library will hold an open house on Monday, Jan. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. to introduce the community to several new services now available through its online network.

Cheshire went fully online in the C/WMARS system recently. With the new system the library catalog is online and patrons can check their records, renew items or make a request from their home computers. The Cheshire Library card also gives holders access to numerous databases and downloadable audio and e-books.

In addition, the library now has a Facebook page and a website. It also recently received a Cultural Council Grant that will subsidize Pre-school Story Times in the spring and fall.

At the open house, personnel will demonstrate how to use the new services. Residents may sign up for cards and all those attending will receive a book bag and a pen. Light refreshments will be served.

CHESHIRE, Mass. — The Cheshire Community Association (CCA) announced the return of the Cheshire Community Tag Sale and Bazaar for its second year.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9 AM to 1 PM, the event offers a day of treasure hunting, local craftsmanship, and treats at the Cheshire Community House located at 191 Church St, Cheshire.

Attendees can explore a variety of offerings, including handmade crafts, antiques, collectibles, and food options. The hot food truck, operated by the Berkshire Lodge of Masons AF & AM, will be stationed in the courtyard, serving up treats throughout the event.
