BAMCon Anime Convention Returns to Crowne Plaza
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Berkshire Anime and Manga Club, a local group devoted to Japanese comic books and animation, is back with another comic festival.
Comic book, gaming and animation fans will converge on downtown Pittsfield for 2nd annual Berkshire Anime and Manga Convention. The gathering, better known as BAMCon, will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday, May 10, through Sunda, May 12.
The spotlight guest will be Bella Hudson, a voice actress who has performed roles in notable anime series Pokemon and One Piece. Returning is Japanese anime rock band The Asterplace.

"Last year was a great kick-off," said Jon Wynn, Berkshire Anime organizer and owner of MediaCrash, one of the main sponsors of the convention. "We're aiming to make this year bigger and better."
The convention will feature creators of anime and manga, artists, musicians, vendors and exhibits, panels and workshops, a costume contest, gameshows and gaming. The events will feature comics and animation with a focus on all aspects of Japanese anime, manga and pop culture.
