Party in the Park Returns to Noel Field

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — "Party in the Park" returns to Noel Field every Thursday from July 11 to the end of August for free concerts from 6 to 8 p.m.
 
There will also be a display of antique and customized cars on view during the concert.
 
The concert is sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit and radio stations WUPE-FM and WNAW-1230AM.
 
"We are pleased to continue our support of this annual free concert series, the North Adams community and the very talented musicians involved," said Marilyn L. Sperling, president of Greylock Federal. "The combination of live music and food makes for an enjoyable evening at the park with family."
 
The line-up for the series includes:
  • July 11: Static
  • July 18: Loose Change
  • July 25: Jill Gallagher Band
  • Aug. 1: Who Are You
  • Aug. 8: Arthur Holmes Blues Band
  • Aug. 15: Whiskey City
  • Aug. 22: The Spurs
  • Aug. 29: Greylock

NAPL: Understanding Artificial Intelligence Presentation

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — On Wednesday, April 24, at 6:00 PM, the North Adams Public Library will host a presentation titled "Understanding Artificial Intelligence." 
 
The event aims to explore various facets of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, catering to those fascinated, anxious, or simply curious about these technologies.
 
Williams College professors Mark Hopkins and Rohit Bhattacharya will lead the seminar, delving into topics such as the differences in reasoning between humans and AI, the evolving human-computer relationship as AI advances, language acquisition by computers, and potential challenges as AI becomes more prevalent.
 
The seminar will take place in the 3rd-floor community room of the library. No registration is required.
