Berkshire United Way Appoints New Board Chair

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Brenda Burdick was appointed chairwoman for the Berkshire United Way's Board of Directors.
"Brenda's comprehensive community experience, ranging from her United Way community impact work to leading the resource development committee, will be of great value to us in her new role as board chair," said Kristine Hazzard, president and CEO of Berkshire United Way. "She brings a prescient understanding of Berkshire United Way's mission and goals and is going to be instrumental in leading us to accomplishing them."
Burdick replaces Michael Barbieri, who was named clerk and head of the early childhood impact team.
Burdick, the senior manager of marketing and public relations for General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, is an Adams native and received her bachelor's of art from Bryant University. Brenda served on the BUW board since 2009 and additionally serves on the board of the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Tim, live in Adams with their two children, Julia and Matthew.
