MASCAC Women's Basketball preseason poll

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The MASCAC released their 2013-14 preseason poll this afternoon by the conference. The Bridgewater State Bears are tabbed as the favorites to repeat as champions. MCLA is selected 7th in the poll.

Bridgewater recieved four first place votes to narrowly hold off Westfield State (3 first place votes) to claim the top spot. The Bears earned 46 points compared to 45 for the Owls.

Framingham State was in third with 28 points followed by Worcester State with 25. Salem State (24), Fitchburg State (20), and MCLA (8) round out the poll.

The Trailblazers will begin their season on November 15th when they travel to Keene State for an opening tournament. They will challenge Endicott in the season opener.
