CANAAN, N.Y. — Former Major League Baseball pitcher Jonah Bayliss will be evaluating players for a new 16U travel baseball team, the Berkshire Blue Jays.

The player evaluation, including fielding, hitting, catching and pitching, will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Fieldhouse.

Players from the Berkshires and surrounding areas in Vermont and New York are invited to register for the tryout at berkshirebluejays.com. The tryout fee is $20 and each player will receive a personal evaluation and coupon for one session at coach Bayliss' A1 Pitching Academy.

The team will form immediately for winter strength and conditioning training as well as participating in college-sponsored winter clinics. The team will participate in local and regional tournaments throughout the summer. Contact Bayliss at a1pitchingacademy@gmail.com for more info.
