Adams Bank Promotes Branch Manager to Assistant Vice President

ADAMS, Mass. — Adams Community Bank President and CEO Charles P. O'Brien announced that Carol Rapisarda has been promoted to assistant vice president and branch officer.
 
"Carol has been a leader in building and maintaining customer relationships," O'Brien said. "She is a very dedicated advocate for our customers and consistently demonstrates excellent service skills which makes her well suited to this position."
 
In her new capacity, Rapisarda will be responsible for overseeing the management and development of the Center Street and Cheshire branches. She has been with the bank since 2010 and has held the position of branch manager for the Cheshire branch. Rapisarda has 22 years of banking experience in the Berkshires. Prior to joining Adams Community Bank, she held similar positions at TD Bank and Com Fed Savings Bank.
 
Rapisarda is a member of the McCann's Program Advisory Committee. She also teaches finance classes to business students each year through a partnership between the Adams Community Bank and McCann Technical School. She has hosted banking workshops and career days for local schools through the Berkshire Compact for Higher Education.
 
Rapisarda has volunteered in numerous community events including Junior Achievement, Relay for Life, Girls Incorporated and the Financial Literacy Program at Taconic High School. She resides in Cheshire with her husband and grown children.

Adams Free Library Pastel Painting Workshops

ADAMS, Mass. — Award-winning pastel artist Gregory Maichack will present three separate pastel painting workshops for adults and teens 16+, to be hosted by the Adams Free Library. 
 
Wednesday, April 24 The Sunflower; Wednesday, May 8 Jimson Weed; and Thursday, May 23 Calla Turned Away from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  
 
Registration is required for each event.  Library events are free and open to the public.
 
These programs are funded by a Festivals and Projects grant of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
 
This workshop is designed for participants of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Attendees will create a personalized, original pastel painting based on Georgia O’Keefe’s beautiful pastel renditions of The Sunflower, Jimson Weed and Calla Turned Away. All materials will be supplied. Seating may fill quickly, so please call 413-743-8345 to register for these free classes.
 
Maichack is an award-winning portraitist and painter working primarily in pastels living in the Berkshires. He has taught as a member of the faculty of the Museum School in Springfield, as well as at Greenfield and Holyoke Community College, Westfield State, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
