Reception Set for Retiring Williams Inn Owners
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — A community celebration for Carl and Marilyn Faulkner will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at the Williams Inn, which the Faulkners have owned and managed for the past 35 years.
They retire from those positions on May 1, having sold the inn to Williams College, which has contracted with Main Street Hospitality of Stockbridge to manage it.
The open house will include snacks, beer, wine and other beverages. The event is free and open to the public.
"Carl and Marilyn have been so devoted to our community for so many years," James Kolesar, one of the event's organizers and the college's vice president for public affairs, said. "This is a chance for us to say directly to them how grateful the community is for their devoted and warm hospitality."
