NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Kristin "Parz" Hildabrand Thursday led Armory Tattoo/Freight Yard Pub to a 4-1 win over Pizza House in the first game of the best-of-three championship round of the Pat Torchia/North Adams Women's Softball League.
Hildabrand went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Sarah Sweet pitched a complete-game five-hitter to give Armory a 1-0 lead in the series, which continues on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at DiSanti Field.
Kate Galli, Morgan Schafer, Christian Votra and Kristen King each had two hits in the win. Mary Malloy, Erika Valenzuela, Galli and Hildabrand scored Armory's runs.
Michelle Rickert pitched for Pizza House, which got two hits and a run scored from April Pitroff.
