Tapestry Health Moving to MCLA

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Tapestry Health, which provides confidential reproductive health care to women, men and adolescents at a low cost, will relocate to the MountainOne Wellness Center on the MCLA campus, beginning Sept. 24.

Presently located in the Ambulatory Care Center on Hospital Avenue in North Adams, Tapestry Health is a locally grown, community-based, nonprofit organization based in Western Massachusetts. Tapestry offers affordable, high-quality care and provides confidential reproductive health exams, STI screenings, and HIV counseling and testing.

Members of the community and the college’s students alike may access Tapestry Health’s services at its new MCLA location, at 289 Church St.

With this move, Tapestry will expand its hours to every Wednesday afternoon, from 2 to 6 p.m. Appointments are available by calling 413-662-5258 or 413-443-2844. Walk-in hours also will be available on Wednesdays only.

North Adams Public Schools To Host Grade Configuration Forum

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — North Adams Public Schools will host a community forum to discuss updates on grade configurations and logistics for the 2024-2025 school year.
 
The forum will take place on Wednesday, May 15 at 6 PM. The forum will take place in a hybrid format at the Welcome
Center at Brayton Elementary School and via Zoom which can be accessed by going to napsk12.org/ZoomLinkMay15.
 
Forums are open to anyone interested in learning more about the logistics planned for the upcoming school year, including, transportation, arrival and dismissal times, class sizes, and school choice updates. The forum will also allow participants to ask questions and provide feedback.
