Bank Employees Raise $13,000 for Alzheimer’s Association
ADAMS, Mass. — A team of employees from Adams Community Bank joined the community and participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail in Cheshire on Sept. 20.
The walk has become an annual event that the employees participate in.
“Our employees offer their personal time to participate in the walk and contribute to all the fundraising events that go along with it. This demonstrates a strong commitment to our neighbors and the residents of Berkshire County and represents the bank’s true community spirit,” said Charles O’Brien, president and CEO. “The goal of the team was to raise $12,000. They are thrilled to have surpassed that goal and have made a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association for $13,969.”
Adams Community Bank’s team donation represents the largest corporate team donation in Berkshire County and Western Massachusetts. They also had the largest team with 36 members.
The team, led by Dawn Lampiasi and Nancy Hubbard, raised the money through various efforts. They hosted a chicken dinner at Mingo’s as well as a Paint & Sip event at the Cheshire Rod & Gun Club. Also helping to raise funds was the “Dress down for Charities” program at Adams Community Bank, when employees pay to “dress down” and all money collected is donated to the charity of choice.
