NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The visiting Union College women's basketball team clamped down on MCLA from the start as they cruised past the Trailblazers 59-34 Saturday afternoon in the Amsler Campus Center.
With the win, the Dutchwomen improve to 4-2 while MCLA drops to 4-5 heading into semester break.
Amy Fisher led Union with 17 points, including 15 in the decisive first half. Union held the Trailblazers to just 21 percnet shooting and only 11 field goals.
The Trailblazers were paced by Kayla Hotaling's game high 20 points and 9 rebounds. Hotaling collected 14 points in the second half. MCLA committed 18 turnovers in the contest.
MCLA is off until New Years Eve when it hosts Middlebury for a 1 p.m. clash.
