Prendergast Leads Battalion Past Danbury

Print Story | Email Story
DANBURY, Conn. -- Tyler Prendergast had a hat trick to lead the Berkshire Battalion to a 7-4 win over Danbury on Friday night.

Berkshire fell behind, 3-2, early in the second period, but Prendergast scored his first of the game a little less than two minutes later to tie it.

Vladyslav Gavrik scored to give the Battalion a 4-3 lead with 2:46 left in the second, but the Whalers tied it 23 seconds later.

Prendergast scored with help from Michael Dolman to put the Battalion on top for good, 5-4.

Dolman gave Berkshire some insurance with a goal midway through the third, and Prendergast tacked on an empty-netter.

Louie George made 31 saves for Berkshire, which plays at Danbury again on Saturday night.
