Battalion Runs Up Big Scores Against Steel City

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Tyler Prendergast scored four goals and set up two more, and eight members of the Berkshire Battalion scored at least one goal in a 16-0 rout over Steel City on Sunday at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink.
 
Tom Tracy had a hat trick, and Martin Uhnak, Michael Kouselouskas and Michael Dolman scored two goals apiece.
 
Tracy added three assists to match Prendergast's point total.
 
Stephen Messina stopped 28 shots for the shutout as Berkshire won its second straight, outscoring Steel City, 35-3, in the process.
 
Berkshire is home on Friday night against Watertown, the first of four games against the Wolves over the last two weekends of the season.
 
The Battalion are eight games behind fourth-place Danville in the six-team Federal Hockey League, and Danville has a game in hand.
