BArT Announces Second Trimester Honor Roll

ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Arts & Technology Charter Public School has announced the students who made honor roll for the second trimester of the 2014-2015 school year.  

Students who earned 80 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of “Honors.” Students who earned 90 percent or above in all of their classes received the distinction of “High Honors.”

Academic courses at BArT are aligned with the Massachusetts State Curriculum Frameworks for the appropriate grade level and include all standards deemed necessary for a complete, college-preparatory, middle and high school education.

Students in Grade 6 who earned High Honors are: Fransisco Alicandri, Kyle Gwilt, and Paige Wright.  Students in Grade 6 who earned Honors are Katarina Andreola, Troy Dean, Miranda-Ann Grant, Lindsay Gwilt, Liliana Hess, Katherine Kerwood, Cameron Langsdale, Meghan Laurin, Cassius Moody, Sawyer Smith and Charles Waltermire.

Students in Grade 7 who earned High Honors are: Sarah deBethune , Miles Fippinger, Joy Kalinowsky, Kylie Taylor, and Alice Tibbetts.  Students in Grade 7 who earned Honors are Alyssa Anderson, Isabella Artioli, Ashley Benoit, Ethan Coe, Leana Cortez, Natalie Ellis, Grace Krzanik, Ryleigh McGovern, Dinari Murdaugh, Gianna Parise, William Peets, Finley Root, Sean Salinovici, Gianna Sondrini and Philip Williams.

Students in Grade 8 who earned High Honors: are Isaiah Albright, Vincienza Alicandri, Natalie Celebi, Macie Fitch, Zachary Mahan, and Kainat Raza.  Students in Grade 8 who earned Honors are Cortney DeVito, Jessica Doubiago, Joshua Doubiago, Byontè Jones, Trinity Kickery, Faia Kronick, Johnyce Lanphear-Dyer, Anny Lopez, Ana Monsalve, Steven Pasqua, Olivia Shaw, Hannah Stringer, Caitlin Terpak and Jason Testa.



Students in Grade 9 who earned High Honors: are Mark Borelli II and Emily Taylor.  Students in Grade 9 who earned Honors are Kailey Benoit, Kyle Brooks, Hayley Caufield, Ari Drayman, Caleb Duffy, Timothy Durocher, Casey Jackson, Andrew Kerwood, Jordan LeSage, Ashlyn Marcil, Trinity Peets, Heather Perkins, Kimberly Perkins, Raegan Phillips, Caelin Rod, Kyle Rolland, Harrison Todd and Jamie Vachula.

In Grade 10, Alain Morrissette earned High Honors. Students in Grade 10 who earned Honors are: Christopher DiCarlo, Tessa Langsdale, Jason Mills, Kelsey Rod and Eliana Sexton.

Students in Grade 11 who earned High Honors are: Noah Chicoine, Lauren Cornell, and Zainab Raza.  Students in Grade 11 who earned Honors are: Anthony Monteleone, Courtney Munson, Cassidy Salvatore and Epiphany Thomas.

Students in Grade 12 who earned High Honors are: Tyler Deschaine, Jeannette Lambert, and Dylan Quinn.  Students in Grade 12 who earned Honors are: Colin Douglas, Olivia Schultz-Falandes and Lauren Shamburger.

Adams Free Library Pastel Painting Workshops

ADAMS, Mass. — Award-winning pastel artist Gregory Maichack will present three separate pastel painting workshops for adults and teens 16+, to be hosted by the Adams Free Library. 
 
Wednesday, April 24 The Sunflower; Wednesday, May 8 Jimson Weed; and Thursday, May 23 Calla Turned Away from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  
 
Registration is required for each event.  Library events are free and open to the public.
 
These programs are funded by a Festivals and Projects grant of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
 
This workshop is designed for participants of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Attendees will create a personalized, original pastel painting based on Georgia O’Keefe’s beautiful pastel renditions of The Sunflower, Jimson Weed and Calla Turned Away. All materials will be supplied. Seating may fill quickly, so please call 413-743-8345 to register for these free classes.
 
Maichack is an award-winning portraitist and painter working primarily in pastels living in the Berkshires. He has taught as a member of the faculty of the Museum School in Springfield, as well as at Greenfield and Holyoke Community College, Westfield State, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
