NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The red carpet party premiere for the movie "Snitches" filled the State Street Tavern with cast members and locals.

After setting up the mobile red carpet in front of the tavern, the actors and crew members of the recent mob action drama made their way in to sign autographs and mingle with locals and invited guests Saturday.

Actor, former North Adams resident, and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts alum Wayne Soares, who plays Detective Wayne Bridges in the film, brought the "Snitches" cast home to his favorite bar after selling out premieres in Cape Cod and New York City.

Soares thanked longtime friends and bar owners Dennis St. Pierre and Bobby Cellana for hosting the event complete with food and mafia-themed decorations.

"Dennis and Bobby put on a fabulous spread, and these guys are the best," Soares said. "I have known these guys for 32 years, and I keep coming back. Thank you everyone here."

Director Steve Rahaman presented the bar owners with a poster signed by the cast for the already crowded tavern walls.

"I'm sorry if it is too big but you have to make room on the wall somewhere for it," Rahaman said.

He added that they have yet to have a premier quite like this one.

"State Street Tavern, thank you," he said. "I can't say how much I appreciate this, and I speak for the whole cast when I say this is probably the most heartfelt and most family oriented premier we have had."

After many acknowledgements the tavern was treated to a vocal performance from actress Debra Toscano before everyone made their way over to the North Adams Movieplex 8 to watch the film.
