Northern Berkshire YMCA Opens Registration In School-Age Programs
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Northern Berkshire YMCA is accepting registrations for its school-age program. Care is offered before and after school and includes school cancellation days, half days and many holidays.
The Northern Berkshire YMCA’s School-Age Program is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care for children in kindergarten through grade 6 (14 years old). The program offers a before school program and an after school program. There is a two-day minimum for registrations.
The before care program is offered to children who attend Brayton Elementary School only from 7-8:25 a.m. Monday-Friday. Children will participate in activities that include board games, cards coloring, reading and gym time.
The After School Program is offered to the following schools and is held 2:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday:
* Brayton Elementary (children walk to our program)
* Greylock Elementary (children are bused from the school to the YMCA by the North Adams Public School bus)
* Sullivan Elementary (children are bused from the school to the YMCA by the North Adams Public School bus)
Children will receive a nutritious snack, homework assistance, outdoor gym activities, arts and crafts, Hula Fit once a week and swimming twice a week, and STEM projects. Parents must pick up their children from the YMCA.
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Vouchers from New England Farm Workers also are accepted.
