Greylock Names New Supervisory Committee Member

Allison L. Bedard

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Allison L. Bedard has been appointed to Greylock Federal Credit Union's volunteer Supervisory Committee by the credit union's board of directors.

"Allison's wide range of experience in banking, accounting, and audit management will add to the Supervisory Committee’s breadth of expertise. Her insights and background are a great addition to the committee as it oversees the best interests of Greylock and our members," Greylock President John L. Bissell said. "We welcome Allison to the Greylock family.”

Bedard is a CPA and an audit manager at Adelson & Company PC in Pittsfield. She has been with the firm since 2010 and served as a staff accountant and supervisor before assuming her current position. Previously, she was employed by a local bank as a treasury analyst and accounting specialist.


Bedard is a 2008 graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and was a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society. She received a master’s of science degree in accounting from the College of Saint Rose in 2010 and is a 2013 graduate of the Berkshire Leadership Program. Since 2012, she has served as the board treasurer of Adlib Center for Independent Living in Pittsfield.

Bedard resides in Pittsfield with her husband.

Bedard is taking the place of Tyrone A. Jackson, who recently left the Supervisory Committee after he was appointed to Greylock’s Board of Directors. Bedard joins the Supervisory Committee that includes Chairman Ozias C. Vincelette, Lori Broderick-Bean, Jean A. Doak, and Anthony J. Rinaldi. The Supervisory Committee functions as the representative auditor for the membership and oversees compliance, policies, rules, regulations and the performance of officials and employees.

Dalton Select Board Argues Over Sidewalk Article

DALTON, Mass. — A heated discussion concerning sidewalks during Monday night's Select Board meeting resulted in the acting chair calling a recess to cool the situation. 
 
The debate stemmed from the two articles on the town meeting warrant for May 6 at 7 p.m. at Wahconah Regional High School. 
 
One proposes purchasing a sidewalk paver for $64,000 so sidewalks can be paved or repaired for less money, but they will use asphalt rather than concrete. The other would amend the town's bylaws to mandate the use of concrete for all future sidewalks. 
 
The article on concrete sidewalks was added to the warrant through a citizen petition led by resident Todd Logan. 
 
The board was determining whether to recommend the article when member John Boyle took the conversation in a new direction by addressing how the petition was brought about. 
 
"I just have a comment about this whole procedure. I'm very disappointed in the fact that you [Logan] have been working, lobbying various groups and implementing this plan and filed this petition six weeks ago. You never had any respect for the Select Board and …" Boyle said. 
 
Before Boyle could finish his statement, which was directed to Logan, who was in the audience, Chair Joe Diver called point of order via Zoom.
