North Adams SteepleCats Knocked Out of Playoffs

HOLYOKE, MASS. -- The Valley Blue Sox rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth on Saturday to defeat the North Adams SteepleCats, 4-3, and take their best-of-three playoff series, 2-1.
 
Dustin Shirley went 2-for-5 with a run scored, and Noah Vaughan went 2-for-4 for North Adams.
 
SteepleCats starter Peter Lannoo went six innings on the mound, allowing two earned runs. North Adams used five pitchers on the night.
 
Hoosac Valley graduate Tanner Bird inherited men on first and third with one out in the ninth. Both ended up scoring to end game.
