PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The staff of state Sen. Adam G. Hinds, D-Pittsfield, will host two community outreach events during July.

The senator's staff will be available to meet with constituents in the communities of Monroe and New Marlborough for this month's staff office hours on Wednesday, July 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Conference Room, Monroe Town Hall, 3C School St.
  • New Marlborough Town Hall, 807 Mill River Southfield Road

Appointments are not necessary but can be booked in advance by calling the Pittsfield office at 413-344-4561 or the Williamsburg office at 413-768-2373. These office hours provide an opportunity for those seeking assistance with state agencies or programs to speak with Hinds’ constituency services staff in person.

Team Hinds will not hold staff office hours in the month of August; the program will pick up again in mid-September.

Hinds' district staff, A.J. Enchill and Jon Gould, hold roving office hours outside of their primary work locations once a month. Enchill is based in the senator's Pittsfield office, Gould splits his time in Pittsfield and Williamsburg.

Last year, the senator's district staff traveled to 19 towns and met with hundreds of local officials and residents in Buckland, Charlemont, Chesterfield, Egremont, Florida, Goshen, Hancock, Hawley, Huntington, New Ashford, Otis, Richmond, Sandisfield, Sheffield, Shelburne, Tyringham, Westhampton, Williamsburg, and Worthington.  So far in 2019, staff office hours have been held in Blandford, Lenox, Rowe and Windsor and Hinds has convened in public forums in North Adams, Lenox and Westhampton.

Those who are unable to attend these events who are seeking to interact with the senator and his staff may email him at Adam.Hinds@masenate.gov or call the offices during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Pittsfield 14s Rally Past N.H. Champs at Babe Ruth Regional Tourney

ROCHESTER, N.H. -- Will Kinne scored on a two-out error in the bottom of the sixth to break a 6-6 tie and send the Pittsfield Babe Ruth 14-year-old All-Stars on to a 7-6 win over Nashua, N.H., on Saturday at the New England Regional Championships.

The winning rally started when Jake Hall drew a leadoff walk. He was eventually erased trying to score from third on a ground ball, but Kinne already had reached on the second Nashua error of the inning.

Kinne went to third on Nick Guachione's two-out single and scored when Collin Merwin reached on an error.

Tyler Gaudette retired the side in the order in the top of the seventh to earn the win after going to the hill in the sixth in relief of Merwin.
