Mark your calendars folks. This one will be for the books. If you like Arc Iris, AND you like Joni Mitchell, or even if you like one or the other, you are in for a treat. Arc Iris strives to reach the songwriting integrity of the Greats—Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen—while exploding the boundaries of pop music. The group bridges the digital computer music of Radiohead and Bjork to Brazilian Tropicalia, to Bowie-esque performance art. Bryanna Bradley, a Queens native and interdisciplinary artist, will open the evening with a special choreographed dance piece.

This is an all ages show. Bring ID if you plan on drinking.

Our budgets are moral documents, and two of the currencies that reflect this are our time and money. Both are limited; how we use both reflects what we need and what we value. In this two-hour session, Will will share his own experience learning to name the ways he spends his time and money, lead conversations about the joys and challenges of budgeting our time and money, and explore different resources to living into God's abundance in our lives.

Will Harron spent two years in the Episcopal Service Corps serving as a community organizer with an urban parish in Boston. He is a Williams College graduate, an M.Div candidate at the Boston University School of Theology, and is spending the summer as a ministry apprentice with New Hope United Methodist Church.

The event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at our North Adams Parsonage, located at 550 West Main St. Coffee, tea and desserts will be provided. You are welcome to bring your dinner to enjoy. Clarksburg Gets 3 Years of Free Cash Certified

By Tammy DanielsiBerkshires Staff
CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Town officials have heaved a sigh of relief with the state's certification of free cash for the first time in more than three years.

The town's parade of employees through its financial offices the past few years put it behind on closing out its fiscal years between 2021 and 2023. A new treasurer and two part-time accountants have been working the past year in closing the books and filing with the state.

The result is the town will have $571,000 in free cash on hand as it begins budget deliberations. However, town meeting last year voted that any free cash be used to replenish the stabilization account

Some $231,000 in stabilization was used last year to reduce the tax rate — draining the account. The town's had minimal reserves for the past nine months.

Chairman Robert Norcross said he didn't want residents to think the town was suddenly flush with cash.

"We have to keep in mind that we have no money in the stabilization fund and we now have a free cash, so we have now got to replenish that account," he said. "So it's not like we have this money to spend ... most of it will go into the stabilization fund."

The account's been hit several times over the past few fiscal years in place of free cash, which has normally been used for capital spending, to offset the budget and to refill stabilization. Free cash was last used in fiscal 2020.
