Family Services Expands Playgroups to Stockbridge Pinewoods Community

STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Pinewoods community room hosts a playgroup offering creativity, literacy, socializatoin and STEM development, with activities from cooking, to outdoor play, on Wednesdays from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Playgroups are open to Pinewoods families and any others in the nearby community; the group will be led by local educator and Community Health Programs playgroup leader Sue Ebitz.

Also at Pinewoods, on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Stockbridge Youth Librarian Jenney Maloy will host a pop-up library and story time at the community room.

Pinewoods children in preschool through middle school can sign up for library cards, check out books and read with “Miss Jenney,” parents and each other.
