BENNINGTON, Vt. —The Southwestern Vermont Health Care Auxiliary is displaying exhibit of artwork by local schoolchildren.

This is 39th exhibit of student work. The show includes pieces selected from more than 200 kindergarten through 12th-grade students representing each of the eight schools in the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union.

"This is my favorite exhibit every year," Jessica Tibbetts, a sonographer in the SVMC Imaging Department, said as she snapped photo of work created by children she knows during the opening on April 12.

"Much of the work is bright, whimsical and sophisticated," said Lila Cestone, president of the SVHC Auxiliary. "It is such a pleasure to host this exhibit by our young artists."

The exhibit is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily now through June 6. In addition to the Corridor Gallery, the SVHC Auxiliary manages the hospital gift shop, Personal Emergency Response System operations, and independent vendor sales. For information about joining the SVHC Auxiliary, visit the website or call 802-440-6080.
