BENNINGTON, Vt. — Southwestern Vermont Health Care Foundation's Northshire Regional Advisory Board has welcomed two new members: Julie Citron and Carol Patterson.

Citron worked in sales and marketing at a large financial firm in Boston before moving to Dorset full time in 2003. She and her husband Dave have been selling real estate in Manchester for more than a decade. She enjoys volunteering in the schools, participating with the Dorset Players, and as a member of the Dorset Church. She has led the local Realtors' board in several roles, including as president, and was recently named 2017 Vermont "Realtor of the Year" by Vermont Realtors. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, baking, walking or hiking, singing, and watching her children's sporting events and music concerts.

Patterson is a registered nurse who spent her career working in New Jersey. She is a graduate of the Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing at Raritan Bay Medical Center and went on to earn her bachelor's in nursing from Rutgers University, both in New Jersey. She worked as a staff nurse at several hospitals and doctor's offices in New Jersey; was a head nurse at William Paterson University Hospital in Wayne, N.J.; and a nursing supervisor for home care agencies. She continued her career as a public health nurse and a case manager for the State of New Jersey. In addition, she worked in early intervention for children with developmental disabilities. Locally, she has served on the board of trustees for the Southern Vermont Arts Center for the past six years. She lives in Dorset, Vt., with her husband Barry and enjoys spending time with him, two children, and two grandchildren.

The SVHC Foundation Northshire Regional Advisory Board consists of 12 members. Members are nominated by members of the group or by the health system. The SVHC Foundation's mission is to engage in development and fundraising activities exclusively for the support of the Southwestern Vermont Health Care Corporation.
